Who is this for?
Liverpool City Region based start-ups and spin-outs.
Start-ups developing an innovative product or technology that is in scope for the incubator (as defined below).
Companies developing a product with a clear route to market that will lead to a commercial opportunity.
The programme is designed for projects that have developed an innovative concept or carried out experimental proof of concept (TRL 2-5).
The company must be incorporated, have a bank account, and be seeking to raise investment to join the incubator.

LYVA Labs Deep-Tech criteria on Artificial Intelligence
- AI is a core operational engine of the product, not an auxiliary feature.
- Use proprietary, customer-owned or continually improving datasets that delivers a performance edge over generic models.
- Products should be architected to function independently of any single foundation model provider.
We actively exclude:
- Chat-first products without embedded workflow integration.
- Thin wrappers around third-party LLM APIs.
- Prompt-only automation without proprietary system logic.
What you receive on the Incubator

- Day one initial investment of £10,000 (via an advanced subscription agreement), becoming part of LYVA Labs investment portfolio.
- 1:1 commercial support from LYVA Labs, tailored to your needs and development milestones.
- A series of educational workshops including peer-to-peer learning on investor readiness, finance, funding, sales, marketing, IP, regulations, and people.
- Connections to mentors, potential NEDs, R&D and industry partners.
- Support to identify and apply for innovation grant funding.
- Investment readiness for future equity investment, including business plan development and pitch bootcamps.
- Demo Day providing the opportunity of follow-on investment from LYVA Labs and co-investors.
- Access to resources and skills through our talent programme.

How to apply and join the programme
Applications Open
Apply to join the programme via our website by completing a short application form that should take around 10 minutes to complete.

Applications Close
Last applications accepted 5pm on 4th February.
4th Feb
Interviews
Successful applicants are invited for an interview with the LYVA Labs team to help us understand more about your innovation, investment fit, and areas of support required.
9th Feb
External Panel
Shortlisting up to 12 businesses who will pitch to an external panel consisting of industry experts and investors. The panel recommends to LYVA Labs who should receive investment and join the programme.
26th Feb
Investments Completed
Successful applicants will receive our Advance Subscription Agreement and £10,000 investment from LYVA Labs upon signature.
27th Mar
Incubator Kick-Off
Cohort welcome, introductions and business diagnostics completed to prioritise areas of support over the course of the programme.
