LYVA Labs have been proud to support the development of our third cohort of early-stage businesses from May 2025 to November 2025. The programme is supported and funded by the Liverpool City Region Innovation Zone, and delivered alongside our pre-seed investment fund for deep tech, health and life science, clean tech for health.

Gutsee Health

GutSee is transforming the future of gut health, starting with a game-changing AI-driven microbiome therapy approach for gut disorders. Gutsee Health combines cutting-edge science with its own AI Discovery Platform, which analyses complex multi-omic data to decode the molecular drivers of disease. This technique enables the identification of precise treatment targets within the gut microbiome, capitalising on the shift towards personalised and precision medicine with the potential for fewer side effects.

Refold Therapeutics is aiming to improve patient outcomes in diseases caused by mis-folded light chain. Translating cutting edge research from Dr Jill Madine (University of Liverpool) and UCB, Refold’s initial focus is on light chain amyloidosis, a rare but life-threatening condition in which harmful protein deposits build up around key organs such as the heart and kidneys.
