LYVA Labs launches third Liverpool City Region start-up Incubator

LYVA Labs recently launched its third Liverpool start-up incubator programme, welcoming six ambitious early-stage businesses using innovation to drive impact in health tech, deep tech, cybersecurity, and tech for good.
Congratulations to Gutsee Health, Refold Therapeutics, Sum Vivas, Local Loop, TOU, and Harker. Each startup is developing innovative solutions, ranging from microbiome therapeutics and AI-powered digital humans to data platforms addressing homelessness and tools that improve online safety. During the six-month incubation programme, the start-ups will refine their propositions, strengthen their commercial plans, and receive the support they require to grow and attract investment.
The programme, which is based at Central Tech in Liverpool, began with an introductory session in which each founder pitched their innovation and connected with peers. The cohort has recently completed its initial diagnostic and early modules focussed on exploring their market and competitors, refining their value proposition and creating an action plan for their development during the programme. Externally delivered workshops began in September, starting with the crucial topic of investor readiness.
Designed to help early-stage businesses become investor ready, the incubator provides an initial £25,000 investment or consultancy budget, personalised 1:1 account management, and access to a structured series of expert-led workshops. These address critical business growth subjects such as market analysis, value proposition, funding and finance, sales and marketing, intellectual property, partnerships, and investor readiness. The journey concludes with an investor Demo Day, where the founders can pitch for further investment in front of a panel of regional and national investors.
Alongside the workshop sessions, each start-up receives bespoke mentoring, access to LYVA Labs' talent programme, grant application assistance, and long-term opportunities through the LYVA Labs’ network, ensuring Liverpool City Region's innovators have the tools, networks, and resources they need for growth.
