Accelerate is a fully funded LCR Innovation Zone programme designed to help companies build commercial traction.
Accelerate helps companies who have a disruptive technology to achieve their commercialisation ambitions by providing access to bespoke expert help and guidance.
Companies are eligible if they are:
Liverpool City Region based high growth company or start-up
Developing innovative technology within our in-scope sectors (see below)
Have an MVP, product or IP ready with a clear route to market
At Technology Readiness Level 6-9

Health & Life Science
All sector applications excluding pharmaceuticals, drugs, alcohol, or consumer health.
Clean Tech for Health
Clean and green technology products and services that have a positive impact on health outcomes.
Deep Tech
Physical science, material science, data science, advanced engineering, robotics, and applied artificial intelligence systems.
On the LYVA Labs Accelerate programme, you’ll receive:
Up to £10k budget towards hiring the right expert to address that challenge
Access to dedicated LYVA Labs Commercialisation Advisors
A tailored diagnosis to identify biggest blocker(s) to commercialisation and key drivers of growth
Opportunity for follow-on investment or grant support
Wider access to LYVA Labs’ network and ecosystem
Examples of expert advice accessed: regulatory advice, specialist sales strategy, specialist sales outreach and business development, marketing expertise.
You will receive one-to-one support from two experienced operators.
Dr Sophie Johnson
Sophie brings over 10 years' experience as an innovation consultant with Alder Hey where she directly supported early-stage companies to break down barriers to trading with the NHS facing financial difficulties. Sophie brings practical insight into clinical environments, regulation, and real-world adoption.
Ike Cooke
Ike is a former founder and ex-banker. She has led partnerships with PLCs, worked with FTSE 100 organisations, and supported start-ups at Virgin Startup through complex growth and investment decisions. Educated in chemical engineering, chemistry and design engineering, she bridges technical depth with commercial execution.
