Incubator Cohort - 2026

Celebrating the graduate businesses from our fourth incubator cohort

LYVA Labs have been proud to support the development of our fourth cohort of early-stage businesses from April 2026 to September 2026. The programme is supported and funded by the Liverpool City Region Innovation Zone, and delivered alongside our pre-seed investment fund for deep tech, health and life science, clean tech for health.

Read and watch more about each of those businesses below, and see what they have to say about their time on the programme.

The Liverpool City Region Life Sciences Innovation Zone Programme (LCR Innovation Zone Programme) is part of the Government’s national Investment Zone Programme.

Bump

Bump

Building intuitive music tech hardware and tools for the next generation of creators

"We've got some amazing technology and an amazing team, but we needed structure, guidance, and connections to take it to the next level. And that's what LYVA Labs and the Incubator has been here to do."

Aidan Corkett-Beirne, CEO, Bump
More about Bump

Bump is a music technology company building intuitive hardware and tools for the next generation of creators. Bump gives live music a digital brain, transforming analogue sound into music intelligence, powering solutions in Education, Performance, Live Experiences, and Creator Tools. Bump’s first product is Bump BPM, a beatmatching aid for Vinyl DJs, removing the fear that stops digital DJs from trying vinyl and gives experienced vinyl DJs accuracy and confidence.

Maxam Labs

Maxam Labs

Building Quorph: Swarm artificial intelligence to make quantum computing more stable

"As a startup, you're doing everything. What the Incubator's taught me is to focus on what's important right now, to set timed goals and measure myself against them. And slowly, I've started to find that I'm getting things done better, and being much more effective with the same time."

David Gammond, CEO, Maxam Labs
More about Maxam Labs

Maxam Labs help bridge quantum theory to commercial reality. Quantum computers can solve complex problems exponentially faster than classical computers - but they are difficult to use, with high maintenance costs and error rates; preventing them delivering commercial value at scale. Maxam Labs are adapting Quorph – their proprietary artificial swarm intelligence to create an error correction/mitigation solution that is hardware agnostic, adapts quantum circuits in real time, and is expected to deliver up to a 75% reduction in error rates.

O-Innvations

O-Innovations

Building O-Wind, a next generation wind turbine for urban environments

"We've had a lot of help from the people at LYVA Labs, especially the hands-on support, that's been very helpful. I would recommend the LYVA Labs Incubator programme to anyone working with something that's in a close position to come to reality."

Nicolas Orellana, CEO, O-Innovations
More about O-Innovations

O-Innovations is developing a wind energy solution designed specifically for cities, where conventional turbines struggle with turbulent and changing airflow. Its technology captures wind generated around buildings to produce renewable electricity within existing urban infrastructure. By enabling more local generation, O-Innovations aims to reduce pressure on centralised grids and support cities in meeting their net-zero targets.

Protostem-AI

Protostem AI

Accelerating stem cell research from experiment to commercialisation

"Obviously scientists speak a very different language to the language of business, and that's what we've learn a lot about on the LYVA Labs Incubator - how people in those spheres talk to each other, and how they communicate ideas."

Dominic Mosses, CEO, Protostem AI
More about Protostem AI

Protostem-AI is developing specialist project management software for stem cell research and manufacturing. The platform improves reproducibility, standardisation, and process control by supporting structured project design, continuous data monitoring with proactive analytics, and standardised data capture. By embedding best-practice guidance and strengthening documentation, Protostem-AI helps reduce experimental variability, minimise resource waste, improve regulatory readiness, and enable teams to operate more efficiently and reliably.

Unveil Therapeutics

Empowering the immune system for precision tumour elimination

"LYVA Labs really worked with us to formulate our story. Having the two mentors who were there to teach us about different aspects, but really in-depth and personalised from our point-of-view. If you've got a start-up, reach to out to LYVA Labs."

Helen Horton, CEO, Unveil Therapeutics
More about Unveil Therapeutics

UNVEIL Therapeutics is developing an off-the-shelf DNA vaccine platform designed to improve how the immune system recognises and responds to solid tumours. Our lead candidate, UTX-001, targets multiple tumour-associated antigens in non-small cell lung cancer, with read-across potential to breast, prostate and colorectal cancers. Previous cancer vaccines have been limited by shifting tumour targets and shielding of tumours from immune attack, while personalised approaches remain slow, complex and hard to scale. UNVEIL's proprietary, immunology-informed approach removes tumour shielding and engineers therapies designed to work for all patients and adapt to a changing tumour environment. We are working with the University of Liverpool to shape our development and clinical pathway.

Alchemist

Alchemist HSR

Circular cleaning solutions for hard to reuse textiles in healthcare settings

"I'd definitely recommend the LYVA Labs Incubator Programme. The two managers we've been working with, Sophie and Harry, have been really helpful. Picture having two other members of staff on your team. They're just working with you, on the same page as you, and helping you branch out as much as you can. "
