Project Coordinator

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team and support programme delivery across several active and upcoming projects. The successful candidate will provide essential coordination, organisation, and administrative support across multiple programmes. Working closely with delivery leads, you will help ensure projects run smoothly, meet key milestones, and maintain strong communication with stakeholders and partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Project Coordination & Support

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities across several programmes.
  • Support the organisation of meetings, workshops, and stakeholder events.
  • Produce agendas, minutes, action logs, and follow-up communications.

Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records, project documentation, and compliance logs.
  • Support preparation of reports for internal review and for funders such as Innovate UK and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
  • Help maintain project plans, timelines, trackers, and risk registers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate professionally with partners, beneficiaries, businesses, and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to queries and support stakeholders throughout their involvement in funded programmes.

Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in gathering project data and preparing progress updates.
  • Support financial administration such as tracking expenditure, collecting evidence, and ensuring documentation meets funder requirements.
  • Help ensure all activities align with compliance, audit, and funding rules.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet organisational needs.

Skills, personality, and experience

Essential

  • Degree-level education (any discipline).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive, can-do approach and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with Microsoft and digital tools.

 Desirable

  • Experience in organising events, projects, or group activities (academic, voluntary, or personal projects welcome).
  • Knowledge of project management principles (formal training can be provided).

Package

Terms: Full time, Fixed Term until 31/03/2030

Location: Hybrid - Liverpool City Region (min. 40% based in our Liverpool city centre office)

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata), increasing to 27 days after 3 years’ service
